Apa Cover Page Format

APA is a formatting and style used in writing. APA is an abbreviation for American Psychological Association and it is commonly used for citing source in the social sciences. An APA format contains four major sections; Cover Page, Main Body, Abstract and References. In APA, Cover page is also known as title page. We will discuss the APA Abstract and APA Cover Page Format.

APA Cover Page Format:

The Cover or Title page is the First part of APA. It should contain the Name or Title of the paper, Author's name and institutional information. Position the page header in the upper left of the page and the page number on the upper right part of the page. Include Running Head in the page header of the Cover page. Also include running head in other pages of the paper.

Apa Cover Page Format

The Title should be in upper and lowercase letter and positioned in the upper middle part of the page. It is recommended to use no more than twelve words in title length. It should not also contain words that give no purpose or abbreviations. All text in the title page should be double spaced.

Apa Cover Page Format

Below the title, you can input the name of the author. Do not use degrees or titles such as PH. D. or Dr. The format of the name should be: First Name, M.I. and Surname.

Apa Cover Page Format

Right beneath the name of the author, place the institutional affiliations. The institutional affiliation should indicate the location or places where the author conducted his or her research.

APA Abstract Format

Center the word Abstract on the first line of the abstract page. The format of it should be in clear or normal. An abstract should be about 250 words, a single paragraph and double spaced. It should contain research topic, questions, participants, data analysis, results, methods and conclusions.

APA References

The References should contain information on all sources cited on the page.
